"The Hand"

Sara Newey is awesome. If you didn't have the privilege of knowing her, it's too bad. She super talented musically, and is an amazingly giving, wonderful person, but she's got edge, too. Gotta have edge.

Anyway, my kids love her. It helps that she gives them gum, but they seriously adore her. Leaving the gym today, Grant freaked out because Sara had to ride in her own car to our house instead of our car. He screamed "Newey!! Newey!" all the way home. (We call her sister newey)

Everyday, she goes to pick up one of my other friend's daughters from school. It ends up being about an hour with the driving and the waiting. Sometimes she takes my boys with her, which is great because they love car rides and they usually end up taking a nap, and I get a free hour to do whatever. Well, today, I was just walking Sara and the boys to the door as they headed out to the car to go for their afternoon ride and Little G turns around at the door and gives me "the hand."

"No! No, mommy! No, you come! No come!"

I've been officially replaced... or else he just has a serious crush. :)

I don't think I ever met Sara Newey. We were friends with her husband though, before they got hitched. Glad he found such a great gal.

I MISS SARA! But I tell her that often. I miss you, too. Do I tell you often enough?

I think Sara has a pedicure blog floating around somewhere...Crazy girl is still wearing flip flops with ice on the ground, with her pretty little toes always painted to perfection.

Crystal, I miss you, too! Sara made me Bolgogi and Kimchee tonight and I thought of you. She makes sure I don't eat ramen and Mac and cheese EVERY night. ;)

Sarah- Jonathan's band actually won Baltimore's Battle of the Bands last weekend. Pretty impressive. Has Steve found a good band yet? I know he was pretty depressed about the lack of real rockers in UT when I talked to him the last time he was here.
