I am a huge fan of Vampires. Yes, the Twilight Series (minus the horrible first movie), Moonlight, Trueblood, Buffy, you name it. Where did it start, you ask? Well, I was 14, browsing the book shelves at Borders and I came across some YA fiction by LJ Smith. The Vampire Diaries became my favorite books and I read them over and over again. Yeah...not Little Women or Anne of Green Gables, sorry ladies.
So, when I found out that the CW was taking on my favorite childhood books for their Fall Season, I admit, I got a little giddy...I may have even giggled. I did not however run around screaming like crazy adolescents.
Here's the teaser. It's like Twilight, only I'm sure the acting is better, directing is better, music is better, and by golly, the boys are fantastic eye candy.

There definitely seems to be potential there. I will have to see if I like it. The trailer actually just made me want to read the books!

Ok seriously... a few months ago I looked for the books at Borders and was told they were out of print... I will have to try again. And I feel really dumb, but what is CW... I have never heard of that network... hmmm, looks good though. Another thing to watch-haha

I'm still boycotting the CW since they canned VM. So don't get too attached to the show. They might cancel it. You know those Twilight teens, they only want Edward.
Aubs! I totally have the books. I wish I would've known you were looking. I would've hooked you up while you were here. They are not as good as Twilight, however, sometimes the plot is so close you think that Stephenie Meyer may have plagiarized just a wee bit. But I don't mind, she made it better. I got my copies on Amazon.
The CW here is the WB there, I think. The same station that plays Smallville, 90210, America's Next Top Model.

Crystal, no i didn't watch Buffy yet, but it's on my to do list and I know I'll love it anyway. And Stefan is basically just another Edward only hotter. And Damon is like Edward with edge. How can you go wrong?

In my humble opinion, the actors in this show should've been the ones in Twilight... seriously. Makes total sense... especially after seeing the horrible acting in the teaser trailer... oh dear.
I will find the books... I am looking on Amazon, too.

The bad guy was on Lost and I hated when he died! ha! Who knew he would return as a vampire?!
