Ok I'm lame. I haven't posted in forever and I'm not even putting any pics. Sorry guys.
Here's an update anyway. Once I upload my camera, you'll get Halloween and all kinds of other fun times. :) Promise.
1. I am Happy! It's been forever since I could truly say that. I think the planets have finally aligned to create my happy place. Let's just hope it lasts.
2. I really shouldn't be happy. Adam has been gone for a week now and he'll miss EVERYTHING this deployment. Josh's birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, our 10th anniversary, Alyssa's bday, Nona's birthday, and my fabulous getaway weekend with my girlfriends. It sucks! Yet somehow, I'm still happy. Ah adversity.
3. Alyssa, Adam's sister has been staying with us. She's amazing. I absolutely love having her here. Yes we had some crazy drama at the beginning, but now that things have mellowed out, I can say that I'm going to be really sad when she goes.
4. What's up Monday luncheons? Where is everyone? This party used to be rocking! Now, as I write during the potluck (yes...no one is here), I'm feeling somewhat unloved and so not cool (yet still happy!). At least I can count on Marianne. :)
5. Here is something I've been meaning to share. Do you hate coming up with dinner menus? Do you hate creating the shopping lists to go with those menus? I have the solution for you. Woman's Day magazine online has free monthly menus complete with shopping lists. It's pure genius. I don't like to cook, but when there is a plan involved, oh life is so much sweeter. Most of the meals are healthy. There's variety and you can always modify to your needs. So here's the link. Go...enjoy. http://www.womansday.com/Articles/Food/Month-of-Menus!
6. My friend Sharla hooked me up with some yoga dvds. Now, I know, I teach yoga, but Centergy is mainstream and I've been wanting a challenge. These dvd's rock! I've feel like a twisted happy pretzel. I love it!
7. My awesome husband read this book. Food Matters. So now we're eating little meat and little to no refined sugars. I'm making granola. Yeah. and doing yoga. and I'm hippy...I mean happy.
Ok...done for now. Have a great happy day. Marianne's here. We're going to party.

I'm glad you're happy, Ariella. I sure miss you. If we lived closer I'd be there for the luncheon in a heart beat- as long as you didn't care I was late- because I always am. Love the Women's day recipes. Thanks for sharing. I hate planning meals. I don't mind cooking them, but I really hate planning them.
If I was there I would be at your place every Monday! And I hate planning meals too, I can never think of anything other than... take out :] I actually enjoy cooking, for the most part, but when I have to think of what to cook, I'm always blank.
And theres nothing wrong with being hippy... I mean happy
Notice all those who are still around are feeling too guilty to respond. :) I would LOVE your granola recipe. My friend is really into it here as well and she is
(cough) not even weird! :) I think I might be a wishful thinking hippie...
darn. This is Monique. I forget to sign out of his account...
I forgot to mention that we're going as green as possible, too. Our goal was to recycle more than we throw away. We made it! Easier than I thought now that they accept plastic bags. We also opt to walk when we can. It's nice that school and work is within walking distance. We also use Melaleuca cleaners that are safe for the environment as well as for the kids. Conserving and protecting the planet is easier than it seems and it just makes me feel good.
I would insert make love not war here, but then we'd be out of a job.
I would so love to have all of you here for Mondays. I miss everyone so much. yeah...where are you MD people? Monique, I think you're on to something. :)
I am glad you're happy hippy =) We are working really hard on the whole "going green" thing too and I love it. I want you to know I would TOTALLY be at the luncheons every week if I had a car! (Little too far to walk =)
I'm glad that you are happy!! I would totally come to your house!
I've been there with Steve gone, missing everything, it's hard but at least there's the internet.
Hey! Sorry, we've been holed-up for a while. Plus I'm up till 1:30 with James, so when Jake goes down for his nap at noon, I hit my pillow too.
Also, I'm glad you are feeling better. I was just talking to Matt about postpartum, and how I thought I'd done so well this one and he looked at me and laughed. What is he going to do when I get back to a real roller-coaster cycle!
Ah,well, good luck with your greening :)
i do come to your luncheon. every monday. if you only heard my heart! and now with our new piano student arrangement, i'll be there without fail in body as well:)
