Holidays

Mind if I rant for a little while. No, of course not. All of you are out celebrating President's Day, however lame this holiday is, it still means time with your hubby and family.

Not for me. It means...oh, another day that I get to spend at home with all my kids. Hooray. So, I'll just do what I do every day. I'll sit at the computer and tell them to go play (keep your comments to yourself...you know you do it, too). I ran out of books and I'm all caught up on my shows. So, I may even end up doing Facebook's 25 things. Yes...I'm that bored.
On the upside. I did have a fabulous Valentine's Day weekend. Adam came home for 3 days to play. We went and saw Confessions of a Shopaholic on Friday and ate at The Olive Garden, although I think my large portion made me as ill as Brandi's teeny italian portion. We took the kids to see Coraline on Saturday. It was really good, yet creepy, and a wee bit pornographic, I'm thinking we should have screened that one before we took them. Who can trust ratings anymore? We went to Stake Conference on Sunday and then just lounged the rest of the day. It was fun, relaxing, and then it ended. Adam left this morning. Just 32 more days of BNCOC and then he comes home ( I'd like to say for good, but we all know that's not true). It's not fair that I have the best husband in the world and I rarely get to see him.

So, since my President's Day is going to be totally lame, tell me what you did today.

Time for a new post

I have no idea what I'm going to say, but it's been 2 weeks, so I've got to say something.

So here's my completely random post.

This is Bryson. He likes Action Figures, in fact most of time he thinks he is one. This was taken Christmas morning. Cute, right? He's fearless, a little crazy, sometimes makes me crazy...but boy he can cuddle like no other. I guess you could say he's a lover and a fighter.

This is Nona, or Viona. I've been told she looks just like me. Must be the chubby cheeks. :) She turned 6 on Jan 16th. She's great at everything she does. She loves school and has a ton of friends. I see little boys follow her around everywhere, yet she's not interested. "They're just friends," she tells me. This little boy in the picture, Wesley, likes her so much, he sacrificed his manliness to be the only boy at Nona's Tinkerbell birthday party.

Random update: The little boys still don't have beds. They have mattresses on the floor, which I hate to say, but they love it. Why did we bother spending money on beds? Click to see the post I'm referring to.

Adam left Jan 2nd to go to BNCOC. He spent the first few weeks in AZ. I'm so jealous. When he wasn't in training, he was spending time with family. He even went to Rocky Point one weekend. Can you see me turning green? Now he's in TX in hole in the wall, San Angelo (sorry Crystal, it is). I miss him so much, but somehow we're surviving without him. Good news, though! He gets to come home for the long weekend. He flies in tomorrow and gets to spend Valentine's day with me!!! yippee! Of course he has to go back early Monday morning, but only one more month after that. Then, all military training is OVER! E7 here we come!

I've been filling my time with a lot of reading and a lot of tv. I also started having lunch get togethers at my house on Mondays. I love having people over.

I've been working really hard on learning all the new stuff that I'm teaching at the gym for Centergy and Groove. That's been fun, but taxing on my body. I'm such a procrastinator that I learn all the stuff the night before and practice it over and over for a few hours, then again the next morning and then I teach it. So if you've taken my class, imagine doing the Centergy Challenge track 6 times in a row, and remember because you're the teacher you have to sit deeper in the poses than anyone in your class. My quads and butt are killing me.

But that is kind of good because it's the lead in to my next little bit of randomness. Sore thighs and butt mean I could drop another pant size and look super hot for the CRUISE we're going on in May! Woohoo! I've never been on a cruise before, but I hear they are a ton of fun. We're going with Aubry and Chris which will definitely guarantee that we will have a blast. We always have fun with Adam's sister and her husband...and the best part...NO KIDS!Here's a pic of all of us while we were sight-seeing in Minneapolis before Aaron's wedding last summer.

Oooh! More news. We're doing the paper work to buy Adam's dad's house in Tucson. We'll be renting it out until we can move back in 3 and a half years. I'm super excited. I can't wait to be near family again and to live on the Bell Patch! Our kids are going to have so much fun. I just hope the market will be better in 2012 when we sell our house here in MD.

A Book Club BLOG!

After attending book club last night, we decided things should change up a little this year. Instead of me sending out evites each month (and let's face it...how often does that actually get done) maybe the person who hosts sends out the evite. Or...maybe we just post on the blog and any and all who care to come can check out the info there. I need suggestions and ideas, so go on and head over to the Ft Meade Book Club Blog and start suggesting away!

Book Club

Because I'm too lazy to send out an evite.

Spread the word ladies...

The Book: Jane Eyre

The Date: Jan 22

The Time: 7pm

The Place: not quite sure yet

If you don't have time to read the book, watch the movie. They have it at the library and I think Slavka said she has a copy. It's going to be a great discussion.

Spread the love already

What's with the new Thursday night lineup?!!! Come on, ALL my favorite shows on one night. I liked it better when I could watch Bones on Tuesday, Private Practice on Wednesday, and Grey's on Thursday, but now I can only have zone-out bliss one night a week. This stinks!

Here's my tv lineup for all the new season. If I'm missing something that I need to be watching...please let me know. :)

Sunday:
9pm Desperate Housewives (but of course I watch it on line later because I gotta keep the Sabbath, right?)

Monday:
8:30 How I Met your Mother
9pm Heroes (Feb 12th)
9:30 Samantha Who
10pm Castle (for you Crystal) starts in March

Tuesday:
8pm American Idol (might watch if I'm bored enough)

Wednesday:
9pm Lost

Thursday:
8pm Bones
9pm Grey's Anatomy
10pm Private Practice

Friday:
9pm Friday Night Lights
10pm PSYCH! yes

I think that's it.
