Release

re·lease [ri-lees]

1.to free from confinement, bondage, obligation, pain, etc.; let go: to release a prisoner; to release someone from a debt.
2.to free from anything that restrains, fastens, etc.: to release a catapult.
3.to allow to be known, issued, done, or exhibited: to release an article for publication.
4.Law. to give up, relinquish, or surrender (a right, claim, etc.).

Yes...all of the above. I have been released. After being RS President for a year and a half in the Ft Meade Ward, I do feel free from obligation, restraint, etc. oh..here's another one.

Remove restrictions or obligations from someone so that they become available for other activity.

The bishop assures me there are other "activities."

I have some real conflicting emotions about it all. So, here's my pros and cons list.

Pros:
No meetings! woohoo
Less Guilt for not being perfect.
More time for my family
Less obligations
Not having to rearrange Visiting Teaching once a month! Nightmares!
I get a chance to support Adam in HIS calling. YAY!

Cons:
Miss sending mass emails
Miss getting to know everyone
Miss the extra blessings
Miss doing the newsletter
Miss the sisters

Why does it feel like I'm saying goodbye? I know I'll still be friends with everyone and there's always book club. I'm excited to just make friends because I want to and not because I feel obligated to. It'll be interesting to get back to less. Although, in my life, I tend to fill in the gaps pretty quickly.

So, here's to moving on to whatever the Lord has in store.

Blessings

So, money's been a little tight lately. It always seems that way when Adam leaves. Anyway, problems always seem to come up when you don't have the money to deal with them, right? Like, um, flooding basements, painful wisdom teeth, and the van starting to make a funny noise.

Well, as long as I don't do a huge load of laundry, I don't seem to have the flooding problem. Blessing! :)

My wisdom teeth are coming out next month...does Tricare cover that? If it does, Blessing!

I took the van in to the shop. I HATE doing that, but Adam assured me they would be nice to me. turns out the problem was the AC and it was under warranty. Yay! no money! Blessing!

Oh yeah, and Seven Oaks finally did a random check on our neighborhood to mark down all the improvements and not so improvements people have done to their homes. Well, you're suppose to submit a request form for each change. Did we do it? No. Now I have to submit a form for the Storm Door, Fence, Deck, and Patio. Darn you, Adam with all your little projects. At least they didn't note the tree removal and missing stair railing. Blessing!

A post!

I'm always sad to see when someone hasn't posted for a week or two...and then I saw on someone else's blog that it had been 4 WEEKS!!! since I had posted last! Wow. I'm a blog loser. Big old "L" on the forehead. So, here you go. A blog from me.

Last Friday we had the most AWESOME ward activity ever! We played Clue in real life. Mr Body lay on the floor and then all the characters from Clue go to act out roles as people came to each room and stated... I think it was Mr. Green in the library with a candlestick, or Mrs Peacock in the Nursery with a revolver (which it really was).
I got to play the Widow Black in the Dining room. People really got into character...even the people trying to solve the clues got in on the fun. I hope we do this again next year. Whoever didn't come really missed out.

When Daddy Comes Home

Grant's favorite song is "I'm so Glad When Daddy comes Home." He's almost got the actions down....almost. He's really good at that final kiss, though. We sent this one to Adam.

Ward Talent Show

I'm so proud of my kids. They are the most talented, beautiful, fun, mostly obedient...anyway the list goes on. The whole ward was able to see some of their incredible awesomeness Friday night at our ward talent show. So much fun. Some of the acts were too dark so I didn't add them, but if you've seen Josh's eyebrow trick and Nona's Michael Jackson nose with crossed eyes then you know what I'm talking about. I might add those at a later date in better lighting. This is the video I sent Adam. Enjoy! The second video is just the little girls dancing. It's better quality than the first. I'm still trying to figure out the video edit stuff.
