Josh is one of a kind. He's not only extremely intelligent, a great swimmer, and musically talented, but he also helps me out around the house immensely! Just this morning, I was so tired, so I laid in bed as Josh got all the kids upstairs and lead them in scripture study, song and prayer. He asked if I wanted to sleep longer, and after I said yes, he proceeded to take all the kids downstairs and get them breakfast. I got to sleep in until 10am. That hasn't happened since...hmmm. I can't remember.
Josh loves to cook, which is great, because as most of you know, my cooking skills are lacking and I find little joy in making meals. He now knows how to make, without help, scrambled eggs, cereal (easy, even I can do that), pancakes on the griddle, microwave popcorn (not saying much because Bryson can do it, too.), and he can bake cookies from one of those cookie dough buckets you get at Costco. Most of the time he even cleans up after himself, but really, after he makes us all cookies I don't complain about cleaning up after him.
I love my little joshie! It's hard to believe he's going to be 8 in November. My oldest is getting baptized this year. Crazy! Well, he definitely sets a good example for the rest of them.

I can't wait until Dale is old enough to help out that much! Not to say he will of course...
I'm the same way with cooking. I can, I just don't especially like to.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like to cook. I feel like everyone I know LOVES to cook. I just don't get it...oh and baking, that's even worse!
Wow, I am impressed! I mean Abby helps me a lot, but she's no Joshie Womboshie! I guess I need to teach her a thing or two. I have to admit, I don't LOVE to cook either. I just love to eat yummy food and most of the time that entails some work in the kitchen. Can't believe Josh will be 8! I remember back in the days in Monterey when he was your only one!
you forgot "poolside hunk." :) That picture is so cool! what a guy!
... and I thought Patricia was a great help. I mean, she is, but 8? Wow! Just wait until he can babysit. You'll have it made.
As a proud Grandpa, I must admit that Josh's father and Aunt Aubry were very similar. Always helping and doing lots around the house to help their mom and siblings. Go Joshie!
