I must be crazy!

I joined the PTA board for Josh, Nona, and hopefully Bryson's school next year. I'm in charge of membership. So, I keep all the records and I'm also in charge of recruiting. I didn't know much about the PTA before. I thought it was just a bunch of fundraising and lame activities, but I found out that you could do a lot more than that. You can change the lunch system and with enough support, actually give them a longer recess. I'm all for that kind of change. I'm excited about it now. Hopefully, I can help get other parents in the community on board with this kind of change and really make a difference in our schools. It may mean one more meeting that I don't have time for, but I think it will be worth it.

I think it's awesome. It's definitely something I plan on doing when Alora's in school--way to stay involved in the community!

Way to go!! You are crazy but in such a good way. I'm planning to be a PTA mom too someday. I think that more parental involvement is just what the schools need. Go Ariella!

Wow, you sound like such a mom! We're getting letters for Annie's school and it seems so crazy to be entering this stage! I'm sure you'll do great:)

good for you! You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get parents involved in our PTA out here. I am on the board for the 2nd year in a row (I was President last year, wouldn't recommend that!) and I wish I could get other parents more involved.
